Carmine's Italian
From South Pas Wiki
When it's time for good old Italian comfort food, I head for Carmine's, located in the Orchard Supply and Starbucks shopping center across from the War Memorial.
I usually start off with the sauteed mushroom appetizer, dripping with butter and garlic, followed by either the Caprese or antipasto salad.
For a main course, depending on how I feel, I either have a chicken, veal, seafood, or pasta dish (I know, wide range, eh?). Sometimes it's a pizza, too. If I've had a particularly hard day, the Gumbi is sure to cheer me up, with its rigatoni and cheese goodness. The Veal Cacciatore is also good, as is the Gnocchi Carmine and the Manicotti.
Accompanied by a good red wine, and topped off by a small scoop of gelato, and that's a real low-cal (???) meal and a half, with portions large enough to take home for lunch the next day.
